Hawaii
Hawaii was the first place Filipinos settled as workers in the first wave of migration. The pineapple farms and sugar cane farms became the place where Filipinos made a home in a land that didn't belong to them. The history of Hawaii's Sakadas is rooted in settler colonialism, a time where we took over a land because our land was taken too, a part of our history that is complicated because we are both oppressor, and oppressed. Nonetheless, this was the start of our journey in America, and for better or for worst, Filipinos have made their mark on this country ever since.
All pieces come in hooks for pierced, clasps for stretched ears, as well as clip ons for non pierced ears. All of our findings are hypoallergenic gold plated brass, nickel free, and made in the US.
